Scott is an adventure driver and consultant who has worked on various specialty-vehicle projects for auto manufacturers, aftermarket companies, and television producers such as Top Gear. He is a passionate photographer and writer with international credits, the only American to have won the esteemed Outback Challenge, Morocco, and a Tread Lightly Master Trainer. Business ventures during the past decade include the Overland Society, Expeditions West, Expedition Portal, and Overland Journal. He has traveled through over 60 countries and across every continent. His most current project, Expeditions 7, is a round-the-world overland odyssey in two 78 Series Toyota Land Cruisers. After reaching the end of the road, he enjoys canyoneering, climbing, and mountain biking. Scott lives in Prescott, Arizona.
A Certified Interior Designer with a B.A. in Leadership from Grand Canyon University, Stephanie's ardor for design and photography, combined with a love of the outdoors, allows her a unique capacity for visual adventure storytelling. She is also an accomplished driver, having piloted Jeeps across the Rubicon and Toyotas in Baja. Stephanie is as comfortable behind the wheel as she is in front of her Mac design station.
Chris spent his formative years riding dirt bikes in the deserts of Southern California and Baja, Mexico, which led to a lifelong quest for adventure. He is handy behind a viewfinder and at the keyboard, and brings four decades of international travel experience to Overland Journal. His journalism career, which includes work for National Geographic Adventure, Cigar Aficionado, Hot Rod, and Autoweek, has taken him through dozens of countries and across every continent. He has also served as correspondent to magazines in a dozen countries and in as many languages. When not behind the camera or at the computer, Chris can be found on The Office (his sailboat), or undertaking meticulous “research” for upcoming articles in locales such as Tequila, Mexico.
A Chicago native, Brian has lived throughout the United States and Caribbean while traveling as much as possible. An accomplished racing and ocean sailor Brian is equally comfortable traversing large expanses of remote land in search of adventure. He has spent the last 17 years involved in the outdoor industry with magazines, newspapers, web, television and ad agencies.
Andre is affectionately known in the office as our "Adventure Accountant," due to his work with Overland International, Inc., Overland Journal, Expeditions West, and Adventure Trailers. He holds a B.A. in Business Management and has operated his own consulting firm since 1992. Joining the Overland International team in June 2008 helped to pull him away from his desk occasionally and kindled his adventurous spirit. You can now often find him behind the wheel of a four-wheel drive, riding a motorcycle, or roaming the aisles at Overland Expo. Andre also enjoys gardening, mountain biking, and working on his 2010 Toyota Tundra. A native of the Great White North (Canada…ay!), he now lives in Chino Valley, Arizona, with his wife Cathy, daughters Adriana and Maranda, two dogs, two cats, and Ozzy, the rock star canary.
Sinuhe Xavier is perhaps the only washed-up professional skier to become an award-winning commercial director and photographer. He is further distinguished by the fact that he did not pursue a career in directing films until 2003, when he traded a life in the mountains for the potentially more treacherous terrain of Hollywood. Most recently he has brought automotive campaigns to life with humanity for clients such as Toyota, Ford, and Jeep. Advertising agencies such as BBDO, TBWA\Chiat\Day, Saatchi, 180LA, and Havas Worldwide have turned to Sinuhe to bring their unique visions to life. When not selling people things they don't need, he can be found derailing adventure-journal.com with his reviews and opinions, or relaxing in the shade of a lonely juniper tree with his wife, Stephanie, and dog, Charlie, on the Colorado Plateau.
Christophe Noel has been an avid backcountry traveler since he was too young to tie his own stitch-down hiking boots. As his feet have grown, so has his appetite for adventure. While bicycles are his passion, Christophe is an accomplished sea kayaker, backpacker, mountaineer and general vagabond. Having spent much of his life wandering the globe from Alaska to the Atlas Mountains and beyond, Christophe can now be found most days riding his mountain bike on the twisted singletrack near his home in Prescott, Arizona.
